Below is a summary of SGR's outputs on built environment and sustainable development issues. This is a new section which we expect to see grow significantly.
SGR
response on planning white paper 'Planning for a Sustainable Future'
SGR has heavily criticised the UK government's proposals to reform the planning
system in order to speed up major infrastructure projects such as nuclear power
stations and airports. SGR argues that the proposals undermine long established
democratic processes, and suggests alternative reforms such as a national spatial
planning framework (July)
