Theme
The 'cyber elite' - AI and tech corporate leaders, such as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos - are embracing many policies from the far right in their company policies and practices. The 'polluter elite' - major fossil fuel corporations and other highly polluting sections of society - have already benefited from numerous hard-right policies.
Are the interests of these two sectors starting to align? Particular areas of overlap include deregulation, energy intensification, and militarisation. This conference looked at the problems and controversies fuelled by the polluter and cyber elites, to what extent their interests are becoming entwined, and how we can challenge them.
