Lecture by Dr Stuart Parkinson, Executive Director, SGR

Bristol University, UK

Lecture slides now available

Dr Stuart Parkinson gave the sixth annual Bristol Quaker Peace Lecture. He examined how society uses and misuses science and technology - and highlighted ways in which we can reshape our relationship with these powerful forces to help bring about a more secure and sustainable society. Formerly an electronic engineer in the arms industry, Dr Parkinson was led by his ethical concerns to pursue a PhD in climate science and then to his later campaign work across science, technology and ethical issues.

This event was a free public lecture.
