Prof Kevin Anderson, Manchester University, argues that to meet the Paris climate targets we need to put equity at the heart of plans to rapidly reduce carbon emissions. This means immediate environmental behaviour changes by the wealthiest in society, together with stringent energy efficiency standards and large-scale investment in zero carbon energy supply options.
