Dr Stuart Parkinson, SGR, outlines how military influence and involvement with UK science and technology is increasing rapidly. He argues that more needs to be done to challenge this, so that Britain avoids fuelling international arms races and human rights violations, and instead uses its scientific and technical expertise to help tackle poverty, climate change and other global problems.
