The latest 28-page issue of the newsletter of Scientists for Global Responsibility (SGR) was published on Wednesday 26 October.
It contains the latest news on SGR activities, as well as feature articles examining:
- international plans to reduce or phase-out nuclear power;
- the industrial and economic objectives which influenced the war in Libya;
- the pitfalls of emerging technologies such as geoengineering, armed drones and shale gas extraction;
- the drawbacks of the science commercialisation agenda;
- the case for a society based on low consumption of energy and other resources;
- further militarisation of research; and
- many other issues related to science, design and technology.
